How To Play
RULES
There are 3 ways a Digraphs tile can be used – simply rotate the tile for your choice. We’ll use the ‘GR’ tile as an example:
- Play the ‘G’ and receive its regular 2 points.
- Play the ‘R’ and receive its regular 1 point.
- Play the ‘GR’ and receive its 13 Digraphs points.
WAYS TO PLAY
There are 3 suggested ways to play, depending on your desired level of difficulty. The more tiles that stay in the game, the more challenging it becomes. In each case, add all 8 Digraphs tiles to the game and remove the following tiles from the regular Scrabble bag:
EASY
- A x 2
- E x 2
- I x 2
- O x 1
- R x 1
MEDIUM
- A x 2
- E x 2
- I x 1
- O x 1
HARD
- A x 1
- E x 1
- I x 1
- O x 1
DECLARATION & SCORING
Once a digraph tile is used, it shall remain as it was declared for the rest of the game (just like a blank tile). If a Digraphs tile is selected when choosing order of turns, the first letter shall be used (for example, the ‘G’ from the ‘GR’ Digraphs tile).
If a Digraphs tile remains in your possession at the end of the game, the full Digraphs points shall be deducted from your score.
